OVERALL HISTORY:
A beautiful baby girl was born on a cold winter night of December 4th. A dark puff of hair lay on the top of her head. Her eyes already sparkled. Her tiny body fit perfectly in her mother's arms. The child smiled a toothless smile at her mother. "Her name is to be Jillian, after my grandmother, Cecelia, after the saint, Rosemarie, after my mother, Van Harper." Her mother stated. Jillian Cecelia Rosemarie Van Harper. A mouthfull, but fitting.
As a child, her father never liked her using her magic. Jillian always did it in secret though. She didn't believe in not using her gift. Her teacher, an old wizard, taught her many things when her father was away on business trips. Jillian liked him very much. He went by the simple name of Ty. He was very old. Jillian was 15 when he died. He was her only reason staying home.
At age 16, Jillian packed a suitcase with clothes, filled another bag with food and money. She left around 1 in the morning. Everyone asleep, except some guards. That's when she realized that it was easier to get out of the palace than into it. She stayed a night at an inn by the port where she took a boat to Edlin the next morning. She had been doing odd jobs there, while mastering her light magic. She now stays alone in a small cottage outside of town. No one knows who she is there and no one at home has any idea where she is, and she likes it that way.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Her hair blew out of her face as a soft breeze washed across her face. It felt nice. Her blistered hands held a broom. She swept the front steps of her small cottage on the edge of the forest. She looked over the vast plain that separated her from civilization. She liked the quiet life. She liked being able to bathe without others watching her. She softly smiled. The sun shined brightly in the sky. It warmed her face. She layed the broom against the wall. She pick up her book that she left in the grass. She walked the short distance to the back of the house. She stepped up the raggedy ladder on to the roof. She crawled to the middle of the roof and layed down, slightly elevated since of the rise in the middle of the roof. She opened her book to her spot and started to read. Jillian loved these kinds of days. Ones where she could just relax. She didn't have many of these back home, but here, her real home, she had them all the time.
Out of nowhere, clouds covered the sky. She groaned as the first bolt of lightning struck. She crawled off the roof and ran inside just as it started to rain. She shut the door and the windows of the small house. She walked into her bedroom and collapsed on the soft bed. She hated going to sleep early, but there wasn't much to do when the rain came in. They sky got dark so you couldn't read. She fell asleep to the sound of rain hitting the ceiling.
She woke to the sun shine shining through the window. At least the rain cleared out. She yawned and stretched herself. She didn't realized that she slept in her clothes that night. She groaned when she looked in the mirror. Her hair was a tangled mess. That's what you get when you just collapse to bed. She pulled a brush through, or attempted to, until the knots gave in and the brush pulled through her locks once again, finally.[/ul]
